The short version: we collect what we need to send you resources, run your course access and talk with you about coaching. We use a few trusted services to do that, and we use cookies and the Meta Pixel to measure our ads. We never sell your information. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details at any time by emailing thearteofcoaching@gmail.com.
The Arte of Coaching is run by Ellee Beckman. We help kids' Brazilian jiu-jitsu coaches and academy owners through free resources, The Games, our Skool community and 1-on-1 mentorship. In this policy, "we" and "us" means The Arte of Coaching.
When you ask for a free resource, such as the Kids BJJ Class Blueprint, we collect your name and email address so we can send it to you and keep in touch with coaching tips, resources and offers.
If you take our quiz, we collect your name, email address and your answers. We use your answers to work out your score and write your personalised feedback, which we email to you. That feedback is written with the help of an AI service (see "Who we share it with").
If you join the mentorship waitlist, we collect your name, email, phone number, the name of your gym or academy, and whether you'd like to be contacted on WhatsApp. Ellee uses these to contact you personally about the mentorship.
When you buy, we receive your name and email address so we can create your course account and send your access details. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Your account password is stored in a scrambled (hashed) form, so we can't read it.
If you send a video of your class through our video page, we collect your name, email, your note about what you'd like feedback on, and the video itself. Ellee may react to your video and share that reaction on social media, which is the purpose of the page. Only send a video you filmed or have the right to share, and only if the parents or guardians of any children shown have agreed to it being shared. If you'd like a video removed, email us.
Like most websites, we collect basic information about how the site is used, such as the pages you visit and buttons you click, along with your device and browser type. See "Cookies and ads" below.
You can control ads from us and others in your Facebook ad preferences, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use your device's ad tracking settings. The site still works without advertising cookies, but you'll need the login cookie to use the course area.
We don't sell or rent your information. We share it only with the services that help us run the business, and only as much as they need:
Some of these services store information outside your country, including in the United States. We may also share information if the law requires it.
We keep your information for as long as you're on our list, have a course account, or we're talking with you about coaching, and for as long after that as we need for records such as payments. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
For any of these, email thearteofcoaching@gmail.com.
This website is for coaches, academy owners and other adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Children may appear in videos that coaches send us, which is why we ask that parents or guardians have agreed first.
We use reputable services with secure connections, we store passwords in hashed form, and we limit who can access your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect it.
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
